Principle of operation

The Salient Snake EA uses the Stochastic oscillator and additionally a MovingAverage filter can be set. It will enter a BuyOrder if the MainLine is above the AboveLevel and the SignalLine crosses the MainLine.

Parameters for the Stochastic oscillator

PercentK = %K line period (default is 5)
PercentD = %D line period (default is 3)
Slowing = Slowing value (default is 3)
Method = In this parameter you can set the MA Method for the Stochastic oscillator. It can be any value between 0 and 3 (default is 0 / Simple moving average)

MODE_SMA 0 Simple moving average
MODE_EMA 1 Exponential moving average
MODE_SMMA 2 Smoothed moving average
MODE_LWMA 3 Linear weighted moving average

PriceField = Price field parameter. Can be one of this values: 0 - Low/High or 1 – Close/Close (default is 0 - Low/High)
AboveLevel = Only the crossover of the PercentK and PercentD who are above this level will generate a signal (default is 80)
BelowLevel = Only the crossover of the PercentK and PercentD who are below this level will generate a signal (default is 20)

Parameters for the Moving Average Filter

UseFilterMa = Set to „true “ of you want to use the MovingAverage filter. By default it is set to „false“.
FilterMaPeriod = Averaging period for calculation (default is 200)
FilterMaShift = MA shift. Indicators line offset relate to the chart by timeframe (default is 0)
FilterMaMethod = In this parameter you can set the MovingAverage Method It can be any value between 0 and 3 (default is 0 / Simple moving average)

MODE_EMA 1 Exponential moving average
MODE_SMMA 2 Smoothed moving average
MODE_LWMA 3 Linear weighted moving average

FilterAppliedTo = In this parameter you can set the Applied price for the MA filter. It can be any value between 0 and 6 (the same possibilities as for the RSI_AppliedTo | default is 0 / Close price)
